Villa Havet awarded as best house at the Finnish living fair
This important trade fair dedicated to the home, which is held every year in a different city in Finland, has become a regular appointment for ECLISSE, which has been taking part in this event since 2016 through its exclusive distributor Muotolevy Oy. The 2023 edition took place in Loviisa, a city located on the south coast, best known for its Valkmusa National Park.

A house featuring ECLISSE pocket doors was the 2023 winner in several categories at an annual housing event. The Housing Fair 2023, was held in Queen’s Beach in Loviisa, Finland from the 7 July to 6 August. The event focusses on housing construction and interior decoration and is organised by Osuuskunta Suomen Asuntomessut. The aim of the Housing Fair is to improve the quality of housing and housing knowledge in Finland and is held in different parts of Finland each year.
Villa Havet, one of the 25 houses to be judged, stood out in particular as it was the one that most impressed visitors to the event. The villa, which was designed by architect Eero Korhonen and built by Tomi-Pekka Lehtonen and Nina Björnström-Lehtonen, was judged to be the winner in all three categories: "Best Home", "Best Furniture" and "Best Garden".

Visitors praised the villa for its exceptional beachfront location and panoramic sea views. The jury appreciated the way the house was designed to make the most of its location and the architectural choices which resulted in an uncompromising luxury residence.
Villa Havet was chosen for its minimalist and elegant interior style and meticulous attention to detail in the furnishings. Interior designer Minttu Airaksinen-Mäkynen used large surfaces and high-quality materials to emphasize cleanliness.

The garden was designed by landscape architects Kairi Meos, Aki Raeräki and Akira Kaneräki. The garden has been appreciated for its long view of the beach and for the multiple terraces that create different areas for relaxation.
ECLISSE is proud to have been part of the success having provided pocket doors to the project (through the Finnish distributor Muotolevy). In particular, in the house, Syntesis pocket door systems for flush-to-the-wall were installed. Syntesis systems which require no architrave or external finishing result in clean lines that complement the minimalist style of the house perfectly.
